Greetings!  My name is Ms. Kris Rivera and I am the Positive Behavior Support (PBS) Coordinator for Palm Springs Middle School.  The purpose of PBS is to motivate all students to take pride in their journey to educational success.

What is PBS?

-     A team-based process for creating proactive, educative and functional support systems used in the development of effective interventions for problem behaviors developed by the staff and faculty.

-    Aim is to build effective environments in which positive behavior is more effective than problem behavior.

Results of School-wide PBS

-    When PBS strategies are implemented school-wide, students benefits by having an environment that is conducive to learning.

-     All individuals (students, staff, teachers, parents) learn more about their own behavior, learn to work together and support each other as a community of learners.

We look forward to a fun and successful PBS year.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at any time.

Sincerely,

Ms. Kris Rivera
